Osteopathy for everyone

Osteopathy is a method of care that seeks to identify and treat the mobility restrictions that can affect all the structures making up the human body. Any loss of mobility in the joints, muscles, ligaments or viscera can disturb a person’s state of health. Osteopathy is based on the body’s ability to rebalance itself and on an in-depth knowledge of anatomy.

Osteopathy rests on three original concepts:

  • the hand, as a tool for analysis and care;
  • taking the whole individual into account;
  • the principle of tissue balance.

It requires specific skills and an in-depth knowledge of how the human body works and of the interactions between each of its systems. It prevents and treats many physical disorders and also acts on nervous, functional and psychological levels. It helps everyone manage their “life capital” responsibly and independently, for greater everyday well-being. Finding the cause of symptoms through a specific osteopathic diagnosis: after a detailed interview and a thorough review of the patient’s imaging and laboratory results, the osteopath precisely determines the indications and contraindications for treatment. Using specific palpation tests, the osteopath explores the body looking for areas with movement restrictions that may affect health. The osteopath’s hands seek out, find and rebalance all the structures whose mobility has been disturbed.
